Julie Anding is the Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Harley-Davidson, Inc. In this role, she is a member of the executive leadership team as well as the company representative and advisor to the HR Committee of the Harley-Davidson Inc. Board of Directors. She is responsible for crafting the strategic direction and leading the execution of the organization’s workforce strategy, specifically in the areas of organizational effectiveness, employee value proposition and experience, succession planning, talent management, organizational and performance management, leadership development, compensation and benefits, labor relations and global inclusion, with a team of approximately 200 human resources professionals across the globe. She also serves as the President of the Harley-Davidson Foundation.
Over the past 20 years, Anding has served Harley-Davidson in various HR leadership roles responsible for organizational development, change management, talent management, leadership development, employee learning, performance management, diversity & inclusion, HRIS, as well as strategic HR planning. Her previous experience was in the area of student services and counseling in higher education.
Anding currently serves on the Board of Directors for Milwaukee Chamber Theatre and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Foundation Board. She previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for WRTP/Big Step (Wisconsin Regional Training Partnership) and on the Association of American Colleges and Universities National Leadership Council for LEAP (Liberal Education and America’s Promise).
Anding is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a bachelor of science degree in Psychology and a Master of Science Degree in Guidance and Counseling. She holds her Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, CA.
